For 100 years, the Bloomfield Center Fire Department and Blue Hills Fire Department have stood as pillars of service, protection, and community pride in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Founded in the early 20th century as volunteer organizations, both departments grew alongside the town, evolving from small, locally equipped companies into modern fire and emergency response agencies. Through generations of dedicated volunteers, they have answered countless calls for fires, medical emergencies, rescues, and public safety needs, always guided by a commitment to service above self.
